The time people spend on the web keeps increasing and reaching now in average up to 32 hours per week. And if mostly it’s shifted from TV viewing it means only one thing – advertising budgets has to accommodate such change and relocate money towards the internet. By doing so it will boost online sales even more. Some studies done by Forrester Research suggest that e-commerce sales will reach $334.7 billion dollars by 2012. It’s very easy to see why. Online sales will come at expense of typical retail stores and switching from TV to Internet.

Grandparents are big spenders when it comes to buying gifts for their grandchildren. According to grandparents.com US grandparents spend $50 billion dollars annually. Yet the advertisement today mostly accommodates a younger generation.
Grandparents find Internet very convenient and resourceful when shopping for gifts. Plus it is less time consuming and can be done in the comfort of their own home. The population of grandparents is growing rapidly. In fact by 2025 one-quarter of all US population will be consisting of grandparents. So keep this in mind when planning your next campaigns and you will be enormously rewarded.

Based on MarketingSherpa’s “Search Marketing Benchmark Survey” there is expected increase in search engine budgets by at least 11% in 2008. Google AdWords remains to be a leader when it comes to pay-per-click campaigns with one-third search marketers using AdWords services.
Because E-mail and Pay-per-click marketing brings instant return it’s implemented by many online business. On contrary Search Engine Optimization holds great potential since it produces long lasting results and benefits companies in a long run reducing promotional costs at the same time. According to Oneupweb study only one-fifth of the top100 US retailer websites were well optimized by August 2007. A huge one-quarter of websites have not been optimized at all. We can say definitely those companies are way behind with their Search Engine Optimization. The faster those companies catch up with their SEO the better chances to outperform their competitors.
